Framework agreement for IS/IT Consultancy Support Services – Information Systems/Information Technology Applications and Software Development consultancy support.

Tessella, the information technology and consulting services company selected by R&D, science and engineering leaders for business-critical assignments are proud to announce that it has been accepted as a subcontractor on a two year contract with s.com Group Ltd, the leading manpower specialist focused on supporting programmes in the aviation, defence, engineering, government, technology and telecommunications industry sectors, as of the 12th April 2009.

The Framework contract, commenced on 1 April 2009, provides for consultancy support for the provision of capability and expertise in “Information Systems/Information Technology Applications and Software Development consultancy.”

Following their successful PQQ submission and down selection for the ITT, (Prime) s.com identified and subsequently invited Tessella to become part of their bid (sub contractor). A quality bid offering a holistic approach with exceptional value for money was essential for success. This key point was identified early by s.com in what was clearly going to be a very competitive selection process against many other competitive bids from a significant number of traditional, larger and very capable Defence companies. In meeting this key point the unique qualities and capability that Tessella were able to offer and the significant contribution that could be added to the bid were well recognized by s.com .

The subsequent inclusion of the Tessella brand and capability was a significant bid multiplier, enabling s.com to demonstrate a quality offering and value for money that was clearly recognized by the MOD.

This new arrangement will provide Tessella a further Route to market into the MOD.
