Business Transformation Support

Previously operating as a Clinical Research Organisation (CRO), the client had changed its business model to become a clinical-stage biotechnology company engaged in the research, development and commercialization of targeted cancer therapeutics.

The existing IT infrastructure was structured to meet the needs of the previous business model and company size. There was also a dependence on an array of diverse systems, the loss of any of which could have serious consequences.

Tessella consultants worked closely with the client to develop a roadmap leading to the desired future state, addressing issues of

  • Risk mitigation
  • Gap analysis and identification of new requirements
  • Protection of existing business advantages

With this roadmap to guide progress, Tessella went on to design a stratified information architecture for the company, and contributed to the development of a novel, agile approach to drug discovery management.
