Exploiting Database Systems

Databases are ubiquitous in today's world, whether in enterprise systems, in the laboratory, or in electronic products. They can play a crucial role in large multi-tier, multi-user systems just as they can in small portable user applications.

Over the past 20 years, Tessella has designed and installed a wide range of database systems. We have established a world-wide reputation in digital archiving as well as gaining experience in electronic data capture using mobile devices as well as standard PCs. Furthermore, we have produced data visualization and data mining interfaces for databases, and we have incorporated databases into data analysis pipelines in the life sciences industry.

Database management systems now come in all shapes and sizes. Systems range from commercial packages from Microsoft, Oracle and IBM to open source systems such as the increasingly popular MySQL.

Tessella has worked on numerous database systems, in a wide variety of domains, and are in an excellent position to help our clients manage their data.
