Our ambitious growth plans mean we are currently recruiting mathematical modellers into our Stevenage branch. This is a great opportunity for high-calibre graduates with a scientific and engineering background to join our consultancy. You will take responsibility for systems design and development, mathematical modelling and algorithm development within a team of skilled engineers on a variety of stimulating projects in space, defence, life sciences and other scientific and engineering sectors.
This is a challenging role where technical understanding and an analytical approach is the key. You will need to apply mathematical concepts to physical systems, so you will need an excellent degree (class 2.1 or above), MSc or PhD in mathematics, physics or engineering. Experience in one or more of the following would be an advantage:
- Design, analysis, and mathematical modelling of dynamic systems
- Satellite guidance systems/attitude and orbit control
- Tracking systems
- Mission Analysis/flight dynamics
- Defence systems/guidance, navigation & control
- Mathematical & statistical analysis
- MATLAB, C++
You must be able to demonstrate the ability to assimilate new applications / technologies quickly and efficiently and work on multiple projects concurrently. You should also possess good problem solving and client facing skills. Due to the sensitive nature of some of our work, candidates must be eligible for, and be willing to have security clearance.
