Tessella. Complex problems. Solved.

PRESS RELEASE: Sogeti and Tessella partner to provide innovative technology and organizational benefits for clients in the Netherlands

Utrecht, Netherlands and Oxford, UK | 22 May 2009. Sogeti, one of the Netherlands leading IT companies and Tessella, the information technology and consulting services company selected by R&D, science and engineering leaders for business-critical assignments, announces the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.

Under the terms of the agreement both parties will share market intelligence and sales pipeline opportunities. A combination of Sogeti’s and Tessella’s strengths will deliver cost effective solutions that will further improve organizational benefits through the use of innovation and technology.

Jack van der Linde, director at Sogeti said: “Partnering with Tessella provides a stream of technical innovation and Intellectual Property than mean high quality solutions can be delivered quickly and efficiently. The relationship is tried and tested and we look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.”

Alan Gaby, director at Tessella commented: “This arrangement will strengthen Tessella’s operations in the Netherlands and allow Tessella to deliver larger, more complex programmes than it would be capable on its own. Sogeti has proven to be an excellent partner organization, with a similar culture and steadfast focus on delivering value to the client.”

The agreement has developed out of the parties close working relationship on a Dutch Central Government National Digital Archives Programme. This programme has been successfully delivered by utilising Tessella’s world leading archiving and preservation software solution (SDB) combined with Sogeti’s programme management expertise and rigorous software testing regime.

Tessella has now successfully delivered archiving and preservation solutions to the UK National Archives, the British Library, the Swiss National Archives and the Malaysian National Archives. These solutions ensure that the digital information created and stored today will continue to be accessible for as long as it may be needed. It is now becoming well recognized that a failure to address such problems puts organizations not only at risk of losing valuable intangible assets but also in danger of failing to comply with legal or regulatory requirements.
