Tessella’s Mark Evans, digital archives practice manager, was one of the speakers at the NCC-AIIM monthly meeting which took place in Arlington, Virginia on Thursday, February 12, 2009.
In the sixth segment in the National Capital Chapter of AIIM’s series “The Evolution of Information Management” the speaker panel provided an insightful, vendor independent discussion on digital preservation with topics that included:
- The challenges associated with digital preservation
- Standards-based archival formats
- Metadata, its use and purpose in long-term preservation of digital documents
- Archive creation and maintenance
- Storage media used in archives
