Doing Business with the World’s Scientific Research Facilities; September 16th, 2008
Thursday, August 28th, 2008
Tessella presented and exhibited at the ‘Doing Business with the World’s Scientific Research Facilities’ which was held at the Royal Horticultural Halls in London on September 16 2008.
Tessella’s work in scientific software - and particularly the fusion technology arena - spans more than 20 years. Tessella’s scientific software specialists have worked on many of the key systems at the Joint European Torus (JET) experiment at UKAEA Culham in the UK, the world’s leading centre for research into fusion power. It is here that teams of scientists from all over Europe have been given the important remit of conducting fusion experiments with a view to generating a plentiful and environmentally safe energy source for the future. Tessella’s presentation explored how professional software engineers and project managers with the right academic backgrounds can contribute to the success of large research projects.
The one day event brought together academia, industry and European and UK-based Large Facility representatives for a combined conference and exhibition.
