We are keen to recruit enthusiastic Project Managers who will help drive our business forward by winning and delivering projects for our clients.

The Role

As a Project Manager in Tessella, you would have a varied, challenging and rewarding role. You’ll have the opportunity to take projects from the first meeting with a prospect through to delivery, and the satisfaction of seeing a need met by the work that you’ve led. Your responsibilities will include:

• Working with sales staff to understand a client’s problem and helping to create a persuasive response that secures the business for us
• Gathering requirements, analyzing the needs and feeding those back to the client in a way that moves their understanding forward
• Architecting a technical solution either yourself, or working with senior technical staff to do so
• Managing the project to ensure that we not only deliver to time and to budget, but that the solution we provide delights our clients enhances our reputation and makes clients want to use us again
• Being an active line manager to your staff, ensuring that Tessella continues to give them the challenging and interesting career that they’re looking for

The position offers an excellent salary and benefits package, and has attractive future prospects. For the right candidate, depending on your experience, you can expect to earn £40-55k.

Your Background

Our clients are mostly scientists and engineers, so a background and interest in these areas is important. You will therefore have a numerate degree, together with experience of software development and of designing solutions, and a track record of Project Management. We have vacancies for Project Managers with different levels of experience but we need you to have demonstrated your ability to manage and deliver projects successfully.
